Vision Therapy:

  • Most often, an initial complete eye examination is recommended to evaluate the need for glasses

  • If recommended, patients will then undergo a vision therapy screening

  • Results of the screening will be discussed with the family during a vision therapy evaluation

  • If in-office vision therapy is recommended, it is usually done over a period of 10 weeks (20-30 in-office sessions)

  • The therapy is performed by well-trained Vision Therapy Administrator and progress is monitored weekly by the overseeing Optometrist

  • In-Office therapy is supplemented by "homework" in-between sessions. This includes two computer programs to be performed at home.

  • Occasionally the optometrist may recommend in-home therapy only. This may include our 2 convenient computer programs which automatically adjust to the patient's progress. The disks are brought back to the optometrist so he/she can monitor the program and recommend any changes to the therapy.

Syntonic Phototherapy (Colored Light Therapy)

  • Exposing the eyes to specific colors (frequencies) of light

  • Helps stimulate various nerve cells in the eyes and brain

  • Used in the treatment of many ocular and emotional disorders

  • Syntonics is often performed to supplement vision therapy programs
